The METAA App Navigator, powered by GoTeacher, helps Massachusetts school districts understand which applications their schools use and identify potential student data privacy gaps. Participating districts can also share their application inventory within the METAA Member community in order to analyze what other Massachusetts districts use and inform decision-making.

Free App Privacy Assessment

METAA members using Google Workspace can activate a free App Privacy Assessment through GoTeacher. The assessment identifies third-party applications connected to district accounts, reviews the permissions and data they can access, and checks for DPA coverage through the Student Data Privacy Consortium (SDPC).

NEW: Free App Cleanup

METAA members can also receive free support acting on their assessment findings. GoTeacher helps districts review connected applications, verify potential privacy agreement gaps, and identify applications that are no longer needed but still retain access to district data. Districts decide which applications to retain, investigate, or disconnect, and GoTeacher supports approved removals to reduce unnecessary student data exposure.
